Primary 6 had a very interesting day in Omagh on Wednesday. They went back in time to the famine years in Ireland, where they experienced a day in the life of the ‘Great Hunger’. They listened to, discussed and were enthralled with stories of old. This trip brought to life their study of the novel, Under the Hawthorn Tree which was truly enjoyed by all.
