Thank-you to Finlay Linton, a retired GP, who donated every child in P1 & P2 with a copy of his book 'Papa Gets a Job at the Zoo.' During lockdown he was unable to visit his grandchildren in Scotland and decided to communicate with them via writing. Eventually, he was inspired to publish one of his stories after receiving sponsorship from a close friend. He hopes that his work will inspire our children to write their own stories. While the books are a gift, Finlay invited the school to make a small donation to the NI Children's Hospice as during his work as a GP he valued the difficult and challenging support it provides to very ill children. The school has made a small donation as a thank-you for the books!
